Isaiah 43:7 "Everyone who is called by My name, whom I have created for My glory; I have formed him, yes, I have made him.”
Ecclesiastes 3:11 “He has also set eternity in the human heart.”
Purpose is about why you exist, and it is the driving cause of what you do! Our Father did not just randomly throw you into the world! He created you on purpose, for an eternal purpose and for His glory.
Life has many seasons, and while your assignments may shift, your eternal destiny doesn’t. God wants you to be with Him where He is. Run your race in such a way that draws you, and keeps you close to Him, then your heart will be fulfilled in all you accomplish!
The State of Being – Who You Are in Christ
Jeremiah 29:11-13 “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
John 10:27-28 "My sheep hear My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand."
Before you do anything great for God, He wants you to know your identity in Him. Paul talked about everything being a loss compared to the surpassing worth of knowing Christ and being found in Him.
Your foremost purpose is to have a close relationship with your Heavenly Father.
God GIVES Himself to you. You don’t need to live your life feeling like He is far away, that will make you feel like your purpose is far away. HE IS SO NEAR. And so is your purpose. He's drawing you in to know deep exchange of conversations, where you pray, and then you hear His voice responding to your prayer. God is not hiding from you. Whatever season that you are in, HE IS WITH YOU.
John 1:12-13 “But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name: who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.”
He calls you Son, He calls you Daughter. This is who you really are. And all the rights and privileges of sonship are yours. This means belonging, communion, fellowship, access, authority, provision and BLESSING.
1 Peter 1:14-16 “As obedient children, not conforming yourselves to the former lusts, as in your ignorance; but as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.”
Matthew 16:24 Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it.”
We are not to be conformed to this world. Our purpose and calling will always be to be set apart unto God. You are called to know Him in the beauty of holiness. By the blood of Jesus, you have been set free from sin. In Him, the bondage is broken. Freedom is here!
Sin hinders us from our purpose. God’s gift of holiness defines our purpose. This isn’t God just “taking all your fun away” no, He is “taking all your hinderances away!” He knows the power of BONDAGE and He paid every price for you to be free from it. We are to be set apart and set free from all forms of sin, iniquity, perversion, unrighteous heart attitudes, sinful actions, addictions, un-forgiveness, disrespect, anger and selfishness.
Psalm 16:11 “You will show me the path of life; in Your presence is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
John 15:11 “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be full.”
God desires you to have joy in Him! His joy fuels your life with purpose. Joy is a distinguishing mark of a believer. The world didn’t give it, and the world can’t take it away! Lean in to the Lord today and receive His joy in your life. This will bring you clarity and vision for your mission ahead.
The State of Doing – Your Mission on the Earth
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works…”
God has specific dreams, tasks and assignments just for you. What is the passion that burns in your heart? Are you a leader? Are you a servant? What is a cause that makes your spirit leap, or even grieve? These are some clues. Often, agitation in your spirit is God showing you to what you’re called to heal and transform!
Take a moment and ask yourself:
What are my God-given gifts?
Who do I admire and look up to?
What burns in me when I read the Word?
What has the Holy Spirit spoken over my life?
What makes me come alive?
What do I see myself doing?
No matter your pace or personality, God has something unique and powerful, just for you. There is no comparison in the Kingdom. Each one of us gets to bloom where we are planted. Stay patient, the seed does not produce a tree overnight.
Acts 26:19 “I was not disobedient to the heavenly vision.”
Luke 16:10-12 “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?”
Luke 9:62 “But Jesus said to him, “No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”
Get the heavenly vision, then get to work! Study. Train. Get mentorship. Be discipled, submit, learn, prepare and grow. Lock in! Put your hand to the plow and don’t look back! There will be opposition, but keep running.
BE OBEDIENT and BE FAITHFUL. Obedience to God with faithfulness to the heavenly vision brings you to success in Christ!
BE WILLING TO WORK HARD. Tap into God's Divine energy for your life, and be willing to put your own sweat into serving His Kingdom!
You Need People, and people need you. Get involved in your church. Show up. Be present. Serve. Honor your leaders, both in the church and on the job.
You need destiny helpers and you are one, too. If you’re seasoned, then pour into someone else. If you never had anyone pour into you, be the one who breaks the cycle! We’re not meant to do this alone.
God will bring people in your life, to help you get the job done, and to be companions along the way. Appreciate them! Thank them, and show them what they mean to you.
Rise up in your authority. Remember that the enemy will come at opportune times to make you doubt your identity, your assignment and your authority. STAY filled up with the Word and the Holy Spirit! Declare the Word. Stay on your guard.
Proverbs 18:21 “Death and life are in the power of the tongue."
Your words frame your world. Speak His promises. Speak your purpose. Speak your victory in Christ Jesus and keep your eye on the eternal prize. DO NOT GIVE UP. IF YOU DON’T QUIT, YOU WIN! You are called for such a time as this!
You were made on purpose and for purpose. It is an eternal, holy, joyful, victorious, devil kicking, soul-saving purpose. Go BE it, and go DO it!
